Swim Meet Information
Here is some important information regarding Swim Meets:
Swimmer and volunteer check in procedure:
- Before a meet, you must declare your child so I am able to put them in events.
- If you are volunteering, you can also sign up for a specific job on the website. Spots usually fill up quickly, so once you declare your child, please remember to volunteer.
- Swimmers should check in with the coaches the day of a meet and then get ready to stretch before getting in the pool.
- Parents who are volunteering will check in with Jenn Dellechiaie or Ann Cook.
- Please make sure parents are following meet location procedures and that the swimmers are in the correct areas so they do not miss their events. (At MRYC, swimmers should not be on the playground area)
- Swimmers should stay for the entire meet, but if they are not able to they should make sure to tell the coaches and that we know a parent is taking them home.
What to bring:
- MRYC bathing suit
- Goggles/ Swim Cap
- Snacks/ Drink
It is important at the end of each meet, the swimmers help clean up the swim deck before leaving with their parents.
In the event of a cancelation, all swimmers and parents will be notified. We will also notify you of when the meet will be rescheduled.
